Sunday Showdown on Health Care; Berry Standing Firm on Abortion Language

The health care debate is set for a showdown Sunday beginning around noon (CST) in the U.S. House of Representatives. The House vote will basically consist of two parts. The first part is a vote on a rule that will “deem passed” the Health Care Bill as passed by the Senate. The second is the vote on the reconciliation bill that makes some proposed changes made to the Senate bill. Deeming the Senate Bill passed Passing the Senate Bill send it to President Obama for his signature while the reconciliation bill will first have to go through the Senate. This could lead to a number of scenarios with Senate version of the health bill becoming law and the reconciliation bill in limbo in the Senate, where they could pass it as it, amend it, or not pass it at all.

At this point, three of the members of the Arkansas delegation have said how they will vote. Rep Vic Snyder has said he plans to vote for the bill while Rep. Mike Ross and Rep. John Boozman plan to vote against it.

Rep. Marion Berry remains among a handful of Democrats with a their votes in doubt going into Sunday’s vote. Today, his office confirmed to me that he is not satisfied that the bill contains sufficient protection from federal funds be used for abortions. Unless a provision similar to the Stupak Amendment is placed in the bill, he will vote against it. But his spokesman cautioned that even with this provision, Berry still has several concerns with the bill and prefers a much simpler health care reform measure.

It is expected that Berry’s vote will remain uncertain until the vote on Sunday afternoon.

Its all ready decided. If you are for Big Power Government, then you vote for this. If you aren’t then you vote against it. If they don’t need your vote to pass it then you can play and keep lying to the people of your state.
When you are sworn into office You are to represent your district and your state. Berry is waiting to find out his new job title. His office said this week He (Berry) is not concerned what is best for the State of Arkansas) Ross really does want this to pass other wise he would have voted to stop it. Synder does not care because he believes he is so far above the people of Arkansas and they need people like him to make their decisions for them. (His office has stated this over and over)
Its sad day in America when Americans think they need to government to think and do for them instead of them doing for themselves.
But we have allowed Do Gooders to decide what is best for us over the past years and now we too are going to suffer the consequences of allowing people like Synder, Lincoln, Pryor, Berry, Ross and Boozman to Not Be Accountable to the people of their State. and we must suffer from being a part of the Government taking over your lives.
Just hope all of these people who think this is a good thing, Will one day understand, that Our Government has not done them any favors and Our Government certainly has not done any of these things for the good of the people. (Only for Power and Money)
Sad day. But in the End…… We Win…
