Princella Smith Earns Support of Local Radio Host Dave Elswick

Listeners of KARN know that radio talk show host Dave Elswick makes no secret that he is a conservative. However, he usually stays neutral in primary battles. But today he was impressed enough with one candidate in his own Congressional District to lend her his support.

“Since I’m from the 1st District (Cabot) I want the best to represent me in Congress,” Elswick tells the Tolbert Report. “Princella Smith may be young but she know’s the issues, knows how the Hill works and will stand for strong conservative principles. She has my vote in the primary and if she wins there I will support her and help her in the general election.”

Elswick said he is making this endorsement because it is his own district and wants to see a strong conservative elected to represent him. He told me that he did not have any issues with Rick Crawford, Smith’s Republican opponent, but was very impressed with Smith. He said he does not anticipate making any other endorsements at this time.

Interesting…Elswick seems to have a double standard about supporting people in the primaries. Wasn’t he upset because Griffin got support from some of the leaders in the Congressional Committee. I guess the rules are different for talk show hosts.

Birds of a feather flock together. Talking about a double standard….knows how to navigate the Hill…but…….bring change to Washington. All her issues are right out of a playbook. Has she ever managed a business? The problem in DC is pure and simple, Dem or Repub, NOBODY knows how to manage money. Most of them would be sentenced to prison for fraud and deception. We do not need another DC trained youth with no experience managing anything but how to manipulate policy advancement!

You guys beat me to it. The double standard is amusing.

Although I don’t agree with his position regarding Griffin’s support, there is a difference between a candidate or elected official and an activist. Elswick is basically an activist. He may endorse whom ever he wants, for that matter since an activist doesn’t officially represent others they can do pretty much what they want to.
