Video: Tim Griffin on Voter Caging and Republican Establishment
I was going to post this second part of my interview with Tim Griffin tomorrow morning but the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee sent out a press release today that addresses one of the primary topics of our discussion – the charge of voter caging.
“Tim Griffin signed off on the dirtiest, sleaziest scheme hoping to target working men and women along with members of our military to deprive them of their right to vote,” said Jesse Ferguson, Southern Regional Press Secretary at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “Griffin loves to talk about his 6-month stint as a US Attorney but forgets to tell us that he tucked his tail between his legs and ran away when news of the scandal broke.”
I asked Griffin specifically about this line of attacks in our interview, which he says are “hogwash.”
“It is interesting to me that the DCCC would be defending ACORN,” said Griffin. “What happened in 2004 and what has happened in numerous cycles is ACORN and like groups were registering people to vote that couldn’t vote or that didn’t exist.”
“I was at the RNC at that time and I was on the communication staff and we did everything we could to make sure the press knew about a lot of this stuff. If you look in the articles, you will see hundreds of examples and illegal registering of people to vote.” He pointed toward example of factious registration of Mickey Mouse and Michael Jordan.
“I believe that everybody who should vote legally should vote legally. But I also know that people who vote illegally waters down the vote of people that can vote legally…If they want to make this about defending ACORN, good luck with that.”
We also discussed the charge that he has been handpicked by the “Republican establishment.” Griffin discussed this in detail but called the charge “silly.”
The question remains will the people of Arkansas be outraged that Griffin went on a relentless attack to keep Mickey Mouse from voting or will they instead be thankful he protected their right to vote by cracking down on voter fraud.

Perfectly played by Tim.
It’s like he’s using the Trevor Drown Playbook.

I have read alot about Tim Griffin and at first I didn’t like him. I thought he was a complete fake. The more I hear him and read about him, the more I like him. I believe that Meeks is an awesome guy and I believe he is very smart. I just think he needs to run for a smaller office first, or really push the fund raising. I think Scott just keeps digging his hole deeper and deeper. He is starting to get on my nerves.
Tim has won my vote!

Looks like the DCC is getting desperate. They have to make up lies about Tim in order to cover up their involvement with ACORN. Three words: Seventeen point lead.
