Video: Sen. Lincoln on Sen. Nelson: “Horse Trader”

 

I posted on this yesterday but I thought I would update with this video from Sen. Blanche Lincoln speaking to the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Little Rock.  I have much more video to edit but here is where she addresses the deal Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska made in exchange for his vote for the Senate Health Care Bill.

“I didn’t agree with what Sen. Nelson did or with what the Senate leadership did,” said Lincoln in responce to a question.  ” I didn’t think it was right. I don’t think you sent me up there to be a horse trader.  I work hard to make sure Arkansas gets its fair share of appropriations and I think we do a pretty good job in bringing that home.”

    So she says she’s not there to be a horse trader, and then she tries to emphasize how good of a horse trader she is? Typical.
