Barack "Hussein" Obama is a socialistic failure. Ramping up the war but where are the protests to that? If Jimmy Carter II can run and win then why can't Palin?

The vitriol in these comments is astounding! Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but there's no excuse for misstatement of facts.

And Phoebes--you have a chip on your shoulder--I don't think I read a single comment that mentioned Obama is a lousy President because of the color of his skin. Besides, in case you didn't know, he's just as much white as he is black.

The more people love to hate Sarah Palin, the more her supporters love her, me included. Just makes me laugh because it's human nature that the more you fear someone, the more you attack them. Same with Obama. He's attacked because people fear what he's turning this country into. Plain and simple.

I always vote for the individual which is usually GOP because it's the lesser of two evils. However, it hardly pays off in Arkansas races because the Ark. GOP is a sinking ship. Seems to me that if they were a conservative party, they would've backed Jim Holt.

If Sarah Palin doesn't want to discredit herself, she'll avoid associating herself with them. So many of her supporters admire her because of her willingness to face down the party when a RINO is up against a more conservative candidate. Hopefully, she's reconsidering coming here to help them raise money.

As for the Ark. GOP running someone against Beebe, I'll be waiting with baited breath. The primary may be 5 months away but, if I'm not mistaken, they have to file by sometime in March to avoid losing their party status. My guess is the party chairman will be the candidate (Doyle Webb), but I'm always up for a good surprise.

I have no idea who Mary Harris is but she is a refreshing voice of reason on this blog. A couple of things. Mrs Palin is NOT Governor Palin anymore. No matter how you try to spin it, she quit her job two years into her term. How do you think all those Palin voters felt - the ones who had voted her into office with the best intentions - when she quit midway through her term? Wasted votes, I'd say.

And how many of you who would like Mrs Palin to run for president in 2012 know the Constitution? We have three branches of government here, and even if Mrs Palin IS elected President, she CAN'T "change" our government. She cannot "abolish abortion"; only a Supreme Court ruling or state-by-state laws can do that. She cannot take "our country back". No one - in this day and age - can do that. White voters will be a minority in about 20 years - you can't empty out 150 years of the United States being a great Melting Pot.

I know it's scary for a lot of Mrs Palin's supporters to look around and see all the darker faces of their fellow citizens. Your world is not the same as it was 30 years ago. It's a fact. We have a very smart black man as our president, trying to help the US back from eight years of destruction by the Bush/Cheney administration. How many of you who are now protesting the "wasteful spending" were equally upset while Bush/Cheney were waging a needless war in Iraq while cutting taxes of their REAL base, "The Haves and the Have-More's", as George Bush referred to his followers.

I actually like Mrs Palin. I think she's spunky and could be an excellent political pundit on Fox News. But not President, please.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sarah Palin is living proof of the complete dumbing down America. When people start selecting totally incompetent people for very serious positions in government its time to really question the mentality of the public. They must think being the President of the United States of America is like being on a reality television show.Turn off the dumb-dumb sets and wake ** up people!

When you're sworn in for a four year term, you don't have "other options". You have a trust with your constituents to complete your term, you don't quit halfway through because it's too hard, or you realize you could be getting rich instead of solving the problems of your state.
If you think those are admirable qualities for a politician then by all means slap a Palin 2012 sticker on your bumper.
