HuckPAC: Balance, Cut, Save Petition
Some of you may know that in addition to being an accountant and an OCD conservative blogger, I also serve as the Arkansas Volunteer Coordinator for HuckPAC, Gov. Mike Huckabee’s Political Action Committee. The current effort underway is to circulate a petition asking our Washington leaders to do three things – “Balance, Cut, and Save.”
Please read the full petition on the jump but simply put this asks the President and members of Congress to focus on balancing the budget by cutting spending and saving money rather then by raising taxes. Sounds good to me.
I signed it and you should too. It does not cost anything other than giving HuckPAC your email. If you pitch in $15, you can get a bumper sticker, because come on, couldn’t we all use another bumper sticker?
To President Barack Obama, Majority Leader Harry Reid, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Members of Congress:
The Constitution starts with “WE THE PEOPLE”. Our Leaders seem to have forgotten that phrase..
American families on a daily basis make hard choices in order to live within their means.
Why can’t Congress and our federal government do the same?
I urge you to work towards balancing the budget.
I urge you to cut our taxes so families can save more and to cut the wasteful spending that is mortgaging the future of generations of Americans and severely limiting their ability to prosper.
Instead of your own re-election, put families in your district and state first.
I am signing this simple: “BALANCE, CUT, SAVE” petition because I believe it is these three things that you should remember when making decisions about new spending, taxes and health care in the weeks ahead.
If you stick to these guiding lights, you can’t go wrong.
Mr. President and members of Congress, I’ve kept it simple for you:
BALANCE, CUT, SAVE.
That’s what should guide you in your decisions in the week’s ahead. My family can’t afford the decisions you are making on my behalf so I am signing this petition to remind you of what is important:

I want Congress to quit spending and start saving. They have already made a big enough mess of things. I am 70 years old and will get out and campaign this year against any person representing my district that votes for an addition cent.

I just want to thank Governor Huckabee for letting me cut taxes by $500M, had he not overspent your tax dollars, I wouldn’t be at 70% today, Thank you Mike Huckabee. Take the money I saved you and give it to Mike like your old tax bill and get a bumper sticker. Go Mike Go.

Dear Governor Beebe,
What planet are you on? Guess you missed that whole thing about your coming in with all kinds of surplus. Governor’s have to balance the budget by law, so Governor Huckabee could not get the state into debt. When he left, he left a surplus that you and your buddies went through like it was play money.
I’d think you would remember something like that. Wait, just a minute! Are you the real Governor Beebe?

We are watching! Legislators who vote for taxes & spending will pay at election time whether Dem or Rep. Vote each appropriation separately on its own merits not by earmarks! Big government is bad government!

i AM A SINGLE FATER OF A DISABLED ADULT DAUGHTER(rett syndrome) WHO I ALSO BECAME HER FULL TIME CARE GIVER. I am worried she has no one but me for her care and is on medicade and what the demo’s are doing cuting the ederly and disabled. why are they always first in cuts? obama and the demo’s need to be stopped.

I think the congress ought to us there own money insted of ours after all they seem to be able get a rase any time they want.Any time you you’re getting paid over $7,000,000.00 DOLLARS and not really working for it and on top of that your spouse getting paid to my my thats a bit much I believe and on then on top of that they don’t even have to worry about insurance or retirement thats taken care of to.I believe they need to start giving up their own money insted of takeing ours

Representatives and Congress members are to work of us, the people. They should have the same health insurances that the rest of us do. Obama’s government health plan STINKS!! Why aren’t we offering incentives for our companies to come back
from China and India? Those employess would pay taxes, social security and medicare. They could also buy their healthcare from their employers.

We also need to keep a medicare program in place to help the seniors. You know there are many seniors that had drug plans until the government presented one. Then all these seniors that had free drug plan from their former employers (retirement benefit) they lost their drug program from their employers and had to pick up one from the government. Now not only do they pay for their drugs like they always did, but now they have a high premium they never had before. This is how the government helps people. I know, it has happened to us. So why in this world would I want the government to get involved with my health care provider.
