Hmmm…doesn’t Rex Nelson work for the Communications Group as their new government liason? I’m not saying it’s his fault, he’s just trying to earn a living. However, we need to quit this “good ‘ole boy” way of doing things.

Tolbert Note - Different communications group. Rex Nelson works for “The Communications Group.” This is “Craig Douglass Communications, Inc.” which is a communications group. Sorry for the confussion.

Rep. Jon Woods, R-Springdale, who supports the change, said the speaker is not required to get the approval of the entire House before making management decisions.

“I voted for him (Wills) to make these decisions,” Woods said. “If you tried to get 100 people on board, it would take a lot of time to get these things done.”

Was the normal State approved method for bidding and hiring a professional service used? If so, who was on the interview commitee and approved of this state contract? And while we are at it, who has authority to “let go” or “fire” and existing employee when their position is outsourced? Was the proper administrative procedure used? If so, who approved that?
