Mike Huckabee to Host Fundraiser for Curtis Coleman

Many Arkansas Republicans will find an invitation to a fundraiser for Curtis Coleman for Senate in their mailbox this afternoon. Gov. Mike Huckabee will be the host for his friend in his North Little Rock home on Monday Evening, September 21. Hors D’oeuvres will be served and it will only set you back $500 a person. RSVP to Lauren.Huckabee@CurtisColeman.com

So much for Huckabee staying out of it until after the primaries are over. This is a mistake.

I promise this should not be a blog post.

Why Ollie? The AP thought it was newsworthy.

This is VERY blog worthy…just when I think Huckabee deserves some of my attention he pulls something like this. I’m telling you, this could be bad for both Huckabee and Coleman.

I am not sure why this is bad for either of them. But I think it is wrong that you posted the invitation with contact info for people. I am sure that there is a reason they sent invitations with that information and didn’t just buy an ad in the local paper. What a low down thing to do.

James – I am not sure I agree with the low down part but I am sure many would agree with you. Anyway, you do make a good point on the private information and I have whited this part out. Let me know if you ever see something on here that is out of place. I actually am much more reasonable then many people assume.

I still think that Coleman is one of the best choices at this point. I have been hoping for months that baker would jump into the ring, and I must say I am very pleased with most of the current lineup, except that it is starting to look like the line up of a baseball team. Still better than looking like a police lineup. I don’t really know anything about Tom Cotton yet, but if he lives up to the hype we have some good stuff coming down the pike. We just have to figure out how not to draw the republican money well dry in the mean time.

Jason, I do think it was a good idea to white out the phone number. Nick. I agree that Coleman is one of the best candidates. Barbara, Why is this going to be bad? Gov Huckabee can support whomever he wishes. Would you have the same outrage if he were doing this for Gilbert or Cotton?

What? No Larry’s Pizza?

LT – Perhaps they are catering.

I just pray that Asa comes riding in on his white horse and pistols and cleans up this whole race!

Huckabee only did one event at Larry’s pizza, so I am not sure what that is supposed to mean.
However, I think that Asa getting in would make me throw up in my mouth a little.

It’s a joke, James. Lighten up. This is a blog not the Wall Street Journal.
Besides, I love Larry’s Pizza. Ate there on Tuesday. Best pizza buffet in town and that is an official Tolbert Report endorsement.

mmm… Larry’s Pizza…
I’d like to see a debate between Baker and Coleman.

Jack – I would like to see a debate amoung all the candidates but I am not sure we have a venue large enough – for the candidates.

The Huckster getting involved just proved that we have politics as usual (not that anyone is suprised). I want someone that is more in tune with the common person and not special interest. I think this was a bad move for Coleman, but how bad can it really hurt him with a field like we have to choose from? Conrad is looking better and better. Hey Jason with such good advertisement for Larry’s Pizza they ought to be giving you some money or at least some coupons. Your right best pizza in town!!

Hey Jason when are you going to have a pizza party? Coleman has messed up bringing in the Huck. I wonder who gave him that idea?
