Saline County Has No Double Dippers

SalineCountyChristmasMax Brantley today discusses the Attorney General’s investigation into the double dipping scandal that Republican State Representative Allen Kerr has brought to light. This will certainly be one to watch. How deep this one will go is anybody’s guess.

But sometime no news is good news and good news is worth reporting. A document request that I filed with Saline County (my home county) turned up nothing. Freddie Burton, Saline County Clerk, reported that no one on the county’s payroll is taking advantage of the double dipping.

Even though the result is that there is nothing there, I thought is was worth noting.

    You need to send a FOIA request with the names of Saline Co. office holders to the office actually paying out state retirement and make them give it to you in writing that none of our officials are double dipping.
