Arkansas Democrats Fashion Statement: WWDMD (UPDATE)
I did not get my invite to the Arkansas Democrat’s little dinner last night. From all the reports, the air conditioner went out and they spent a lot of time slamming President Bush, comparing him to a fat drunk guy and to elephant dung. You know, a pretty typical Democrat dinner. For the official Democrat Party of Arkansas Press Release, please see Seth Bloomeley’s article in today’s Arkansas Democrat Gazette.
According to the most reliable news source in the state – Twitter – the talk of the dinner was the new fashion statement that many Arkansas Democrats are making. “What Would Dustin McDaniel Do?” t-shirts. You can buy one online from Rock City Outfits. Here is how the website describes them…
In everything you do and every thought you have, you should ask yourself this question. This morning when I got up, I asked myself what Dustin would eat for breakfast. When I choose my clothing, WWDMD? When I choose bathroom reading material, What would Dustin read? I do know what Dustin would wear, this shirt!
Somehow it does not have quite the same effect for me as the original saying “What Would Jesus Do?” but I guess to each his own.
UPDATE - David Kinkade of The Arkansas Project fame provides an interesting analysis of the treatment given by Seth Blomeley and the staff of the ADG to the Democrat’s Jefferson-Jackson Dinner compared to their (lack of) treatment of the Republican’s Governors Dinner. Kinkade’s offers this as a warning to fellow Republicans about what treatment we can expect during the upcoming election cycle.
Oh, Blomeley. I think the picture to the right adequately portrays how he feels about me and my fellow right wingers.
