Huckabee Places Another Phone Poll into Iowa
The Iowa Independent reported on Friday that Mike Huckabee conducted a telephone poll into the primary battleground state of Iowa this week. The article did not have the full poll listed but the questions centered around core social conservative issues such as the right to life. The poll also discussed President Obama’s nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court.
I am working on finding more information on his early polling into Iowa but this is just more confirmation that Huckabee is taking steps for another run for President in 2012. The AP’s Andrew DeMillo picks up on this theme in an op ed piece today entitled “Huckabee’s Star Rises While Others Fall” in which DeMillo examines the impact of sex scandals involving the Sen. John Ensign and South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford as well as the abrupt resignation of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. DeMillo contends that Huckabee is sitting pretty for another Presidential run as long as he can get to 2012 without shooting himself in the foot.
UPDATE – Politico actually got a hold of a Huckabee spokesman who reported that the calls are a part of a national program for Americans United for Life and are not limited to Iowa. Calling back the Politico and not the Tolbert Report? Where’s the love, my Huckabee friends?
Speaking of Huckabee and Iowa, Gov. Huckabee endorsed Bob Vander Plaats for governor of Iowa today in the video message above.
“I will be in Iowa as many times as I can to support him and campaign for him,” said Huckabee.

This is great news. Huckabee is the only one that has the ability & clear headedness to clean up Obama’s mess. Thanx, GOP, for handing us an Obama presidency. Go left of center & this stuff will happen every time.
