"He went on the explain that he was alright with voting for the bill in spite the problem because “It will not become law” as he feels the Senate has not chance on passing it in its current form."

Does that mean that, like John Kerry, he was for it before he was against it?

Was Congressman Snyder elected to put forth that type of voting logic on behalf of the citizens of Arkansas?

Just say no to CAP and TRADE(TAX)!

As a chemist, I am in favor of natural adsorpents for carbon dioxide. Those would be trees, here in the Natural state. Stop deforestation if you are concerned about carbon dioxide. As a chemist, I went and enjoyed a brisk run this morning and I didn't worry how much carbon dioxide I was exhaling during my morning routine. So, why should anyone else worry. Global warming if it is factual happening (still do not know for sure) cannot be simply measured up to carbon dioxide emissions, sorry. That theory smells worse than a fresh cow patty sitting in the hot noon sun. Hey, lets do away with beef! Cow's give off methane which is hundreds of times more potent a greenhouse gas that carbon dioxide and is likely more abundant in the atmosphere. Sounds absurd doesn't it?

KRJ - Good point on Franken. Right now Lincoln is doing to whole political talk and not really tipping her hat on where she stands. Who knows what she will do? Her comments were noticeably less opposed than Pryor's.

While Blanche may have reservations, remember that Franken makes 60.

Harry Reid doesn't need to water things down to get Republican votes anymore.

Don't believe this is not a tax on those making under $250,000 and 95% of Americans will not get taxed. Everything this bill touches will go down the FOOD chain. Gas, electricity, food, products and services. Everything will go up, but it's not a tax on you. Not to mention man made climate change is a myth.

So, Congressman Snyder admits that he allowed lobbying by a utility to override the expressed will of his constituents?

This bill, like the TARP bills, wasn't even finished being written when voted on. No one had read more than a few paragraphs of more than 1000 pages. Is this how our elected representatives should conduct themselves?

The political class is in for a rude awakening in 2010...
