Video: Interview with Tom Cox Candidate for U.S. Senate
Tom Cox spoke this afternoon to the Central Arkansas Young Republican about his upcoming Senate campaign. Afterwards he spoke with me for a few minutes in the interview above.
“One of the reasons I am running for U.S. Senate is that I believe we have a lot of mislead bills coming through the House and the Senate the last few years on both sides of the aisle,” said Cox. “I believe that there is distrust for the electorate and I believe that want someone who is cut from a different cloth, that can restore integrity and fight for what is right for the American people.”
Cox went on to tell me that the primary issue he will be focusing on is the “outrageous spending that started with the stimulus bill. It is a lack of common sense for Washington to be for a spending bill like that while the rest of the economy is crashing.”
I asked Cox specifically about his involvement with organizing the Tea Party and how this grew into a Senate campaign. “It is a free country, thank God,” Cox replied. “All of the opportunities that America has given us over the last 200 plus years are being eroded.”
He told me his strategy for taking on Sen. Lincoln is “to go into her backyard.” He said that he plans to bring his message directly to all the counties in northeast and southeast Arkansas where he feels he will be able to make a connection. “Manufacturing is very similar to farming,” Cox stated. Cox owns Aloha Pontoon Boats in North Little Rock which is a boat manufacture.
As for the Republican primary, Cox said that he plans on focusing on the general election. ”I plan on running against Blanche Lincoln… I know each of the candidates for the Republican Primary vaguely and that’s a good thing and a bad thing… but I am going to focus totally on going to bat against Blanche Lincoln.”

Being a new politician, for the first time, is a Huge Plus to me.
He is not new at being the President of groups, however. Pushing agenda’s with success.
Tom Cox has my Support and Vote. Check him out, Really!! Go for it, he is a fine husband and father, businessman and also a good friend to many.
Starting a new campaign take tons of money, he’s working his way up. Starting with a shoestring budget now and working his way up to the Top Hat.
