Jonathan Dismang to Run for Senate District 29

dismangState Representative Jonathan Dismang announced tonight at the White County Lincoln Day Dinner that he will be forming an exploratory committee to consider running for state senate from district 29.  State Senator John Paul Capps is term limited creating an open seat for 2010.

Dismang from Beebe was elected as a state representative in 2008 and was considered by many as one of the stars from the 2008 freshman class.sd291

As reported by Elizabeth Aymond via twitter, the offical announcement came from Sen. Gilbert Baker who spoke at the dinner.

    Biff, correct. Forming an exploratory committee is usually the first step.
