Kris Allen Comes Home to Little Rock and Conway on Friday (UPDATE)

krisallen1I am taking a quick break from the political fare for a quick pop culture in our home state.  Kris Allen of Conway has made it into the final three on American Idol and the whole state is preparing to go Idol Crazy!  Fox 16 of course has all the details but the highlights are a concert at Riverfront Amphitheater at 11:30 on Friday afternoon followed by a concert at 5:30 in Simon Park in Conway.

Okay, the political angle – who will be on hand for the homecoming – Gov. Mike Beebe, House Speaker Robbie Wills of Conway,  Conway Mayor Tab Townsell?  It will be fun to watch who manages to work there way on to the big stage!

 

UPDATE - I called it!  Wills just could not stay away from this one.  Read all about it on his blog.  He says it was like meeting the Beatles. Bragger!

    Wow, the picture on Willis blog of all those folks is jawdropping! Kris Allen has certainly put Conway in the national spotlight. Too bad we can’t get people to rally like that on political issues.
